The National Explosion-proof Electrical Engineering Technology Research Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center) is a national engineering technology research institution approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2011. In 2016, it passed the acceptance of the Ministry of Science and Technology. During the construction period, the center invested a total of 158.1637 million yuan, built a new R&D building of 7,700 square meters, five explosion-proof motor R&D test platforms and a high-voltage motor coil manufacturing pilot line, and added 23 sets of instruments and equipment.
The center has a high-end R&D team composed of more than 300 R&D personnel. It adheres to the principles of "openness, cooperation, and sharing" and aims to build a base for scientific research and development, achievement engineering, industrialization, talent training, and technology exchange. Through the construction of explosion-proof motor R&D test platform, research on key technologies of explosion-proof motors, and research and development of key products, we will combine the design and development of typical products to conduct research and development on motor efficiency improvement, explosion-proof type innovation, insulation structure improvement, etc. to solve industry problems. Basic, common and key technical issues have enabled some core technologies and products to reach world-class levels and promoted technological innovation and industrial upgrading of explosion-proof motors in my country.
Since 2012, the center has received more than 50 science and technology awards, obtained nearly 130 patent authorizations, presided over or participated in the formulation of nearly 50 national and industry standards, and nearly 100 group standards.

The center has laboratories accredited by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS); it has inspection agencies authorized by the State Administration for Market Regulation, the National Certification and Accreditation Administration, China Machinery Industry Federation, and China Classification Society; it has CCC certification testing for explosion-proof electrical products. Designated laboratory, a contracted testing laboratory for China Quality Certification Center (CQC) and China Energy Efficiency Labeling; it is also an IECEx international laboratory, a US UL explosion-proof product testing witness laboratory, and a US NVLAP motor energy efficiency certification testing laboratory. Its business accepts national Guidance from the State Administration for Market Regulation, National Certification and Accreditation Administration, CNAS and China Machinery Industry Federation.

Preside over or participate in the formulation and revision of national standards, industry standards, and group standards for electric motors.

1. Compile technical guidance materials: Combined with industry development, compile industry standard compilations, product design manuals, industry standardization development guidance and other reference materials with practical value.
2. Organize industry research: Conduct industry research to understand the current production status of the industry, help solve practical problems, and understand user and market needs.
